This is basically the ancient Chinese version of the Little Red Riding Hood.I love the watercolor illustrations… in fact, the whole book is presented beautifully, no surprise it won a Caldecott Medal 🥇 For younger kids, It works great as a read aloud. For older kids I was able to use it for a number of reading and writing activities. Also it’s an interesting conversation starter, offering us a familiar cultural comparison to look at. This book’s a keeper! 🥇
