Bibbin and Bobbin's Big New York Adventure

Author: Reema Mistry

Follows two lovable “huggle bears” on an unforgettable foodie adventure to New York City. They usually just eat the same thing, a yummy dessert called Huggle pudding. They were always a little apprehensive about trying something different. Overtime though, they began to get curious about other foods, so they decided to go on a trip to New York City and try as many new foods as possible. They explore the bustling city, see the sights but more importantly try a variety of new foods… They try peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, creamy New York cheesecake, hotdogs, apple pie, pretzels and more. Once they returned home they were happy they overcame their fears and embraced the new foods with courage. The food was delicious and now they are already planning their next trip (setting the stage for further books) This is a great introduction to New York and also useful for teachers covering food units. The kids really enjoyed it, the characters are great and I love how we might see them again in future books. This is especially suitable for children who are a little more picky when it comes to eating. Also, I included the “about the author“ page, which talks about the inspiration behind this story (which I found quite touching). Definitely check this one out! It’s an inspiring reminder that trying new things can lead to wonderful discoveries.
